Leady oxide for lead-acid battery paste. Grey oxide, also known as battery oxide or leady oxide, is a fine powder of lead monoxide containing a controlled share of unoxidised metallic lead.
Grey oxide, also known as battery oxide or leady oxide, is a fine powder of lead monoxide containing a controlled share of unoxidised metallic lead. It is the main ingredient of the paste applied to lead-acid battery grids.
The free-lead content, particle size and acid absorption of grey oxide affect how the paste mixes, cures and performs in the finished battery. We produce to the customer's specification and test every lot.
