Konnagar, West Bengal: Waldies has expanded the manufacturing capacity of its West Bengal plant by 2,000 MTPA for its flagship product, red lead.
Waldies' Griffin® brand is recognised widely for the quality of its product. Waldies red lead is used mainly in the production of lead-acid batteries, and also in paints, pigments, explosives and ceramic glasses.
The new plant and machinery will secure supplies to major energy-sector companies in India.
The plant was in development for several quarters. This week, after successful commissioning of the pollution control system, pot oxides, furnaces, chimneys and other mechanical installations, the facility is fully functional and conforms to our standards.
Waldies' total manufacturing capacity now exceeds 12,000 MTPA across all product lines.
