Waldies plans an independent Virichem facility and new capacity
Wire & Cable India reports Waldies' plans for new capacity and an independent Virichem facility, focused on performance products for wires and cables.
Kolkata, West Bengal, 27 December 2022: Waldies Compound Limited, the makers of specialty chemicals including Griffin® red lead oxide and grey lead oxide, today announced that it has received the Exide Quality Award, presented in November 2022.
The award was presented to Waldies by Mr Pan, Unit Head, Exide Haldia Plant, at Exide Quality Month 2022 in Haldia, West Bengal. The event brought together Exide's suppliers and business partners from the eastern region to review the latest developments in quality across their companies.
The focus of the event was on quality tools and implementation techniques such as 5S and Kaizen.
Waldies was represented by Mr Pintu Nandi, Chief General Manager, Production, Konnagar Works, and Mr Debajit Guha, Manager, Quality & Policy. Their presentation showed how Waldies uses modern quality techniques and methods to eliminate product quality issues.

Waldies now plans to expand its market reach by setting up state-of-the-art manufacturing plants in the north-west of the country over the next two years.
